Sounds good to me :-). The operative word here is "grow". As long as the model is
useful, then the ontology will grow.

IMHO, the OIO Library (metadata repository) provides a more appropriate support model
than Slashdot (news for nerds). In fact, I proposed the same on May 15, 2001:

I can give a more detailed discussion if there is any interest left on this list to
hear more about OIO technology. :-)

As soon as Phillippe's ontology becomes available, I will setup the OpenOntology
database site.

In the meantime, I agree that OpenGalen is very much worthwhile investigating. In
particular, I am most interested in Philippe's views on how his ontology and approach
is same or different from Galen.

So, if we go with GRAIL/OpenGalen, I can setup the OIO Library such that it generates
GRAIL statements (in RDF/XML?). (Of course, we can also add support for GEHR formalism
down the road.)

At the end of the day, we will have an open source Galen Terminology Server (which is
unfortunately not available from OpenGalen) with cross-translating capabilities to
GEHR, Odyssee, OpenEMed, OIO, FreePM, FreeMed, TkFp, etc!

Best regards,

Andrew
