One of the barriers to accelerating the uptake of open source applications in regional networks and health care in general is that the kind of high quality information needed to raise awareness and understanding and to support business cases to acquire solutions is scattered throughout the internet. Creating a library where articles, white papers, market statistics, and case studies can be found to assist in education and provide resources for the development of plans and business cases will help accelerate uptake. The Spirit Project consortia (Minoru Development, Conecta SRL, and Sistema) would like to invite the open source community to contribute articles to the Spirit Library that can be used to help accelerate the uptake of open source. The goal is to have a concentrated, high-quality collection of information that will be available in the four primary languages of the Spirit site (English, French, German, and Italian).
