Drew, Good question! OIO system does not currently use an XML database in the backend. However, it is possible to do so if there is a compelling reason. The design philosophy is to isolate the users from these implementation details - all they should worry about are the "objects" that they are manipulating. So, they make a form, fill out a form, find out about how their patients are doing, etc. > I'm new to this > group.
