Imaging is a bottomless pit of consumed resources and limited reward. 
The Cleveland Clinic has abolished *all* preoperative chest x-rays 
unless the patient is already scheduled to get a chest x-ray for 
another reason.  This idea of gigabyte images flying around the 
country making people get better is nonsense.  When I say "web based" 
I mean I want to know what meds the patient is taking and what his 
chief complaint is.
