Nope, I never said that. In fact, I think that the methods described for
the German cancer registries are very nearly identical to SDSS (but
pre-date it).

I think Andrew's papers on SDSS were definitely publishable, and useful.
I just think they should have reviewed and acknowledged related previous
work a bit more thoroughly than they did.
