Karsten,

Complexity cannot be the entire explanation. When I can put a Knoppix CD
into most PC and have it auto-configure a complex mix of video cards,
storage and network devices, the power of software to manage complexity
/ "simplify" is apparent.

There is no reason why we cannot build software that is much simpler to
install and use - including software that use Oracle. It may take more
work, but that's what R+D is all about.
