I'd suggest not making that request (since I don't think it would be actioned - the list is actually not administered at all at present). I suggest applying some means by which the old list is echoed into the new list, nothing complicated, one of us just sets our MTA to forward list postings to us into the new list. It needs a slightly more complicated filter to return new mail on the new list to the old list as if forwarded by one existing member.
