Try http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-med/ (under the section "Software
projects to include"). I think, maintained by Andreas Tille. While it
does not explicitly state their status.. it at least provides you with a
seemingly comprehensive categorised list of existing medical OSS and
links to their webpage - which should contain the information you require.
On a side note, I really think this list needs a FAQ? To contain answers
to questions like these and to allow an easier introduction/overview for
newbies entering this vast arena..
