Hello!

We are about to adapt openHPI 2.7.3 for our diagnostic application.
Currently we are working on the fan controlling. I finally
succeeded to make openHPI generate one fan control for each of
our fan controller. So far so good.

Now I tried to test this using hpifan. The function saHpiControlGet()
returned an invalid command. This was true, indeed - as we haven't had
implemented this functionality yet. But while we were tracing this case
we were a bit puzzeled about the fact that the ipmidirect plugin
did not send the corresponding IPMI message GET_FAN_LEVEL using
the Send Message command.

If I understand IPMI 1.5 right all messages _not_ for the MCH must
be sent using Send Message so they can be bridged. Is the fan handling
different from that?

If anyone of you has an idea about this issue some helpful lines
would be greatly appretiated.

Thank you very much in advance.
