Hello Pierre,

I am currently testing with the latest development release. As soon as
this
works I send you an openhpi logfile excerpt with the relevant "Get Fan
Level"
messages.

Best regards,

Stefan,

I am just back from vacation and glad to see that your issue is solved. To
explain the "Get Fan Level" command sent to the MCH, I would need
ipmidirect plugin log file of the corresponding session and hpitree
output. You can send it directly to me if it's too big for the list.

Subject: [Openhpi-devel] Solved: When using SendMessage and when not ???

Hello everybody,

I just wanted to inform you that the ipmidirect plugin of
openhpi seems to behave correctly. At least it is sending
the "Get Fan Level" request for the fan controller as a
Send Message request.

We also see a third "Get Fan Level" request that is
sent to the MCH. Why this request is being sent is not
quite understood so far.

Thanks to everybody for reading and thinking.
