Thank you, Peter and Anton, I finally found out where it hung:
In threaded.c you can find the function oh_wake_event_thread() which calls g_cond_broadcast(). Unfortunatly this function never returns but breaks the daemon. I took out the call to g_cond_broadcast() for a try and the daemon seemed to continue working properly. I must admit that I have a very bad feeg about doing this. At least I can continue testing my GUI application ;-) Best regards, Stefan > Or try exporting this variable > OPENHPI_DEBUG_TRACE=YES > > Peter P > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Anton > Pak > Sent: Friday, August 17, 2007 10:27 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [Openhpi-devel] trace statements in threaded.c > > Try to run openhpid -n -v > And use strace, ltrace, gdb. > Also you can look in /var/log/messages. > > Anton Pak > > On Fri, 17 Aug 2007 18:25:07 +0400, Stefan Sperling > <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > wrote: > >> Hello! >> >> I am debbugging openhpi 2.7.3 to find out why it suddenly stops > working >> during startup - it just terminates.
