I ran the tests again one by one, each time restarting the daemon before 
running the next one and got failures for all of them. If I run them one 
by one, only starting the daemon for the first, I get what I had 
previously reported. This is also the case when running all the tests at 
once.

Not sure why this is. It could be a problem with the tests, the simulator, 
or both.
