Hi Renier,

I still don't understand why the older versions are not available.

 

I do understand that we should be trying to use newer releases

that have bug fixes.  However, in some cases, bug fixes can

introduce new bugs.  I'm not saying this is the case with 2.10.2.

 

I just don't understand why 2.10.1 is not available.

Before that, I suggest you take a close look at
http://openhpi.org/Changelogs/2.10.2 for important bug fixes. Specially
under the OpenHPI daemon and base library sections. There were some
nasty bugs in the marshaling code that have been fixed in 2.10.2. The
marshaling code is what streams data calls from client library to daemon
and back. You'll see that the only new features were just to make
OpenHPI compile on Solaris.
