We are using ipmidirect plugin as well as ipmi plugin for our
development systems.
In both the case we are receiving ambiguous entity path for Shelf Fru
Device.
Entity Path for Shelf Fru Device received using ipmidirect plugin:
{
{ATCAHPI_ENT_SHELF_FRU_DEVICE, 2},
{SAHPI_ENT_PHYSICAL_SLOT, 2},
{SAHPI_ENT_ADVANCEDTCA_CHASSIS, 1},
{SAHPI_ENT_ROOT, 0}
}
and Entity Path for Shelf Fru Device received using ipmi plugin:
{
{ATCAHPI_ENT_SHELF_FRU_DEVICE, 2},
{SAHPI_ENT_ADVANCEDTCA_CHASSIS, 1},
{SAHPI_ENT_ROOT, 0}
}
where as, as per the specification (SAIM-HPI-B.01.01-ATCA) we are
expecting:
{
{ATCAHPI_ENT_SHELF_FRU_DEVICE, 2},
{ATCAHPI_ENT_SHELF_FRU_DEVICE_SLOT, <slot number>},
{SAHPI_ENT_ADVANCEDTCA_CHASSIS, 1},
{SAHPI_ENT_ROOT, 0}
}
