Vishwa,

Here is the configuration I can see and catch traps with.
I've realized now we are using heavy patched hpiSubagent and
it may not work with SF version.

Hi,

I followed the steps mentioned and restarted the services.
still not getting any snmp traps

Is there any other configuration needs to be provided for
snmpd/openhpi-subagent?

Software versions running on server
1. snmpd software version: 5.3.2.2
2. openhpi subagent : 2.3.4
3. openhpi : 2.14.1

Thanks
Vishwa

Visha,

1) Add into snmpd.conf:

---------------------------------
trap2sink addr
---------------------------------

  or

---------------------------------
trapsink addr
---------------------------------

2) Add into hpiSubagent.conf:
---------------------------------
send_traps yes
send_traps_on_startup yes
---------------------------------

The send_traps_on_startup enables ColdStart trap on subagent startup.

Hi,
I am trying to get snmp traps using openhpi subagent.
I added line "inform2sink" in snmpd.conf as specified in subagent
README, but not getting any traps.
The Server is running openhpid, snmpd and subagent services Please
can somebody suggest some ways to make snmp traps to work Thanks
Vishwa
