Uli -

You can hpitest on ATCA without excluding the reset test cases by setting
OPENHPI_ON_EP in your openhpi.conf file.
You will need to set it to the entity path of the device that gives you access
to your shelf manager. You can get this entity path by running hpitop.

I was able to run all of hpitest-3.1.1 on an old HP ATCA chassis using this
method. Without setting OPENHPI_ON_EP, I ran into a problem where the switch
that gave me access to the shelf manager was being powered off - and that
stopped the test suite from further progress. So in my case, I set
OPENHPI_ON_EP to the entity path of the switch - and then I could run the full
test suite.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
I've run hpitest on rev.7111 on a full 16-slot atca with similar results as you
have distributed.

Unfortunately I needed to exclude the reset test cases. My configuration
crashed always during these (some problem with my switch blade).

The summary says
Failed Test Cases: 25
Errored Test Cases: 52
Is this what 2.14.1 also had?

I am currently testing startup times and am trying to find a place to optimize.
The daemon needs 116 sec before the first client can open a session.
But what I need to explore next is why it takes 213 secs when I have
deactivated 9 boards via shelfmanager command.

Cheers,
Uli

Greetings again --

Just wondering if anyone in the community is testing the IPMIdirect plug-in for
the 2.15.0 release?

Here at HP, I've been testing the simulator, dynamic simulator, oa_soap, and
ilo2_ribcl plugins. I have very limited resources for testing the IPMIdirect
however. Please let me know if you are testing IPMIdirect. Thanks.

Hello Everyone -

I'm back in the office - and I've been testing svn revision 7113 this morning.
So far - everything is looking very good.

I suggest (and Anton Pak concurs) that we start with 7113 as a release
candidate for OpenHPI 2.15.0.

Unless there are strong objections, or some pending commits that I do not know
about - we'll proceed along these lines.

The goal is to release 2.15.0 by the end of this week.

Subject: Starting release cycle for 2.15.0

Uli -

Thanks for commiting your changes. I will start building/testing revision 7111
today.

Everyone: We are now officially in the release cycle for 2.15.0. Please
download and start testing 7111. Defect fixes are allowed, as are very minor
(very low-risk) enhancements. Please have changes peer-reviewed before
commiting them.

The plan is to test/fix defects the rest of this week and all of next week -
and attempt to release the week starting on June 28.

As a reminder, I will be out of the office next week (June 21 - 25) - so I
won't be bugging you - but you all have your assignment. :-)

Cheers!
