Hi,
If I remember correctly, there was a bug in hpi_shell some time ago about the 
-c option.

Did you try also:
export OPENHPICLIENT_CONF=plugins/simulator/t/openhpiclient.conf
hpi_shell

P.S. I think the MultipleDomains = "yes" doesn't work anymore, since the 
concept of a daemon
implementing more than one domain has been dropped.

I tried that, but it doesn't help. The behavior is same.

In current OpenHPI the only two options supported in simulator plug-in

stanza are name and entity_root.

Use -p command line arg for openhpid to specify port.
