This is not legal advice, as I am not your attorney.  :-)

The project doesn't have any standard text that would be used as an
acknowledgment.  IMO, this is not required by the BSD-style license
found in the COPYING file of the top level of the source code.  Should
you wish to include an attribution, it seems simplest to choose
something like:

        HPI implementation provided courtesy of the OpenHPI project,
        http://openhpi.org

Note however, that the BSD license does state that the copyright and
license text be carried with all copies of the source or object code.
Again, this is in the COPYING file.  IMO, if you have complied with this
requirement, this is all that is necessary to use OpenHPI in any
personal or commercial application.
