I just tried it and it seems to be working now.
As a side note, if you have Linus's tree sitting around, with newish
git (I'm not sure if this is in git 1.2 but it's definitely in 1.3),
you can do
git clone --reference <path/to/linus/tree>
http://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/roland/infiniband.git
and have the clone go much faster, because it only fetches objects
that are in my tree but not in Linus's.
