This is thanks to all who made the OpenID Summit UX such a success. Comprehensive and candid presentations by Google, Facebook, Microsoft, PayPal, JanRain and Yahoo! were highly responsive to the "voice of the customer" theme Brian Kissel and the adoption committee used to organize the agenda. The 'voice of the RP' was made real by the presentation and strong presence of the Sears development team and the participation of a impressive cross section of industries, applications and RP's. We plan to post all content soon on the Summit's wiki and http://openid.net
The Foundation's agenda for 2010 features a series of OpenID Summits. While deliberately set in different locations; all are meant to build on complementary agendas toward a common goal, accelerating the pace of development and adoption. The next Summit on April 5 and 6 at the Microsoft facilities in Mountain View will focus on evolving OpenID; emphasizing a theme Technology Committee Chair Dick Hardt calls "improving the product. This next week will be key to building that agenda with input from the adoption committee takeaways from the UX Summit, proposals by the co hosts Microsoft and Google and suggestions from the Technology committees meetings next week in San Francisco. Thanks again to the Sears team for being such great hosts and accommodating a successful experiment in videoconferencing to both coasts. And thanks as well to Google for opening online and office facilities to all comers in DC and CA. Don Thibeau [email protected] Executive Director The OpenID Foundation
