Thanks for the call today. Since searching for "National Chapters Policy" got kind of hard for me at least, I am starting a new thread dedicating on it. On today's call, I understand that John raised the concern that some random local chapters standing up as a National Chapter. In the previous proposal, there is a clause that prevents it. I have highlighted in red below. National Chapter is an agent of OIDF and it is up to the OIDF to decide whether or not a local chapter can be a National chapter. I combined old sub-clause 1 and 4 to make it clearer. Just to explain those subclauses, - Sub-clause 1-2 puts the conditions for a local chapters to be recognized as National Chapters. - Sub-clause 3-4 states the rights of National Chapters. Although sub-clause 4 makes it possible for the member to direct 80% of its fee to the jurisdiction, it does not mean it has to. Also, it does not mean that it goes to National Chapters, though it is most logical in many cases. - Sub-clause 5 states the duty of National Chapters. I welcome any concrete amendments. *Title of Resolution: Creation of National Chapters Policy* WHEREAS, creating incentives for chapters to recruit new members for OIDF would benefit the OIDF and the community, and WHEREAS, creating incentives for the companies in the respective nations to join OIDF would benefit the OIDF and the community, and WHEREAS, creating a structure that allow the establishment of the entity that can effectively monitor trademark usages and enforce the policy in the jurisdictions is desired to protect OIDF trademarks and brands, now, therefore be it RESOLVED, That the following clause to be added to the local chapters policy stated at http://openid.net/foundation/chapters/ after the Territories clause. *National Chapters* National chapters are special type of local chapter that fulfill the following requirements in addition : 1.
