I don't quite understand your proposal. Can you elaborate?
The part I'm solid on so far is that, since Yahoo owns Flickr, and hosting the service at yahooapis.com indicates that it doesn't *need* to host the service at the domain it acts for, could it have another part of the requested URL specify which domain it was answering for?
The part I'm still thinking over (not sure it would work) is; http://webfinger.google.com/?site=goohoo.org&id=user http://webfinger.yahoo.com/?site=goohoo.org&id=user Where "goohoo.org" is a joint Google-Yahoo community.
