More than sure. I formated it on Windows 7 and today I tested on another
machine running Windows.



head -c 11 [device-path] | tail -c 8


# head -c 11 [device-path] | tail -c 8
[device-path]: No such file or directory
tail: 8: No such file or directory

You obviously have to replace [device-path] by the
actual device path to the partition, something like
/dev/dsk/c3t0d0p1 (for the first partition)



BTW we are talking about a plain USB flash disk.

It has to be formatted as ntfs.
