If you're looking for a server-centric distribution that produces critical bug and security updates without the constant churn, you should probably look at OmniOS LTS instead of OpenIndiana. The OmniOS folks have a sharp focus on minimising disruption for server operators, which is pretty different from how OpenIndiana is maintained. Cheers. -- Joshua M.
