Until very recently (i.e. patches to this list a couple days ago), performance wasn't really great. On 2.4 kernels, on KCS and SMIC hardware, it was in fact pretty darn bad. That's much better now with the new kernel thread polling mechanism (at least on a system with some spare CPU cycles), so it becomes an interesting question, though the limiting factor now is the speed of the BMC to respond to commands. :-) Thanks, Matt -- Matt Domsch Software Architect Dell Linux Solutions linux.dell.com & www.dell.com/linux Linux on Dell mailing lists @ http://lists.us.dell.com ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Power Architecture Resource Center: Free content, downloads, discussions, and more. http://solutions.newsforge.com/ibmarch.tmpl _______________________________________________ Openipmi-developer mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openipmi-developer
