production use (yet).
This package contains two componenents:
* DKMS (Dynamic Kernel Module Support) - the framework into which
device drivers are built and installed.
* openipmi - OpenIPMI device driver.
These provide an update to the existing OpenIPMI drivers as packaged
with RHEL and SLES to add new functionality:
* New capability: powercycle the system rather than power-off (load
time and runtime tunable).
* Support for using 32-bit userspace libraries while running on a
64-bit x86_64/ia32e kernel, needed by the Dell OpenManage software
suite.
Changes since last posting:
* New builds for SLES9 and RHEL4, not for RHEL3.
* Upgrade to DKMS 2.0.8.
- In dkms_autoinstaller added -no-clean-kernel to builds of multiple
modules to avoid mrproper
* on BT systems, no kernel thread is started, so don't try to kill it
at rmmod, else an oops ensues.

These represent the "Gold" releases of RHEL3 and 4 for these
architectures, and "Gold" and Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2 for
SLES9. If your system is running other kernel variants, and you have
the the kernel development tools installed, DKMS can be used to
rebuild these modules for your kernel. See the README.dkms file for
more details.
This bundle may be installed using the shell script install.sh
provided.
