This release contains various bug fixes and cleanups. The only new feature is
adding 0.9 support. It is available at http://openipmi.sf.net

A major rework has been done to the SMBus (SSIF) driver. It is now quite stable
and works well. A significant change is philosophy was made to the driver to
improve stability, and it shouldn't have the problems with timeouts that plagued
the previous driver versions. As well, the I801 I2C driver added full block
transfer
support; this has sped up the interface by a factor of three, if your hardware
supports it.

As usual, the following files are included:

linux-ipmi-2.6.23-v39.2.diff
Changes to the base IPMI driver. You always need this file.

linux-i2c-2.6.23-v39.2.diff
linux-i2c-i801-2.6.23-v39.2.diff
linux-i2c-piix4-2.6.23-v39.2.diff
Changes to the I2C driver to support a polled interface, and specific
changes to the I801 and PIIX4 drivers. These are required if you want
to use the IPMI SMBus driver.

linux-ipmismb-2.6.23-v39.2.diff
The IPMI SMBus driver, to access an IPMI device over an I2C bus. This
is a new IPMI 2.0 standard and some systems have this. It is also called
  SSIF.

linux-serial-2.6.23-v39.2.diff
Changes to the serial code to support a polled interface. This is
required for the IPMI serial driver.

linux-ipmiserial-2.6.23-v39.2.diff
The IPMI serial driver, access to an IPMI device over a serial connection.
This included drivers for terminal mode, direct mode, and a Radisys-specific
  driver.

ipmi-2.6.23-v39.2-patches.tar.gz
A broken-out set of patches, useful for backporting changes to older releases.
