The older versions (the one from the 2.6.24 kernel) should work ok; I
haven't made any changes to them. But they will be in the patchset in
the next release, too.
Do you want a separate patch, not just the one in the patch set?

The imb driver will likely never make it to the mainstream kernel. It
has a lot of problems in the interface.
