Hi All, I have encountered situations with an IMM on a newer System x box where the IMM is trying to recover the bus and that can take several seconds. That recovery is by design. Unfortunately there are cases where the recovery and response time is between 3-6 seconds, but it seems the ipmi driver only waits around 1-2 seconds for a response before timing out.
Would it be possible to make the command timeout on the ipmi driver configurable at module load time? If so how would one go about implementing that? Thanks!
