Hello.

Yesterday I submitted to lkml our code for fmc-bus, a software
abstraction for the VITA 57.1 standard called "FMC" (FPGA Mezzanine
Card). We are using this code base for our recent I/O cards,
developed by the "hardware and timing" section at CERN. I wrote
the code as a consultant for the HT section.

The standard uses the IPMI FRU specification (Field Replaceable Unit)
and our bus uses those (mandatory) data structures to match the device
and the driver. After verifying that no FRU support is there in current
kernels, I posted our include/linux/ipmi-fru.h . get_maintainer.pl
reported this list is involved in any include/linux/ipmi* file.

I didn't Cc: my patch-set because this list is moderated for external
posters, but I think you may be interested in the ipmi part.
