You have been subscribed to a public bug:
OpenJDK Web Start would not work with FXTrade applet at www.oanda.com. The
applet loads normally, but then can't seem to connect to the server. I tried
clearing the cache with no effect.
On the Oanda web site there is also a desktop version of their FXTrade
interface. This worked with OpenJDK but did not really install properly since
no desktop configuration file was created.
After completely uninstalling OpenJDK and using java-6-sun, both versions of
the app worked perfectly.
Hopefully this info is helpful to someone who knows a bit more about Java than
I do!
