I still think this is a FF3-related bug. I have the RC1 version
(installed via Synaptic) and the final version (installed via the
Mozilla website on Download Day). After reinstalling Java 6 (with
version 5 this problem won't happen), the RC1 version still crashes and
the final one does not.
Just before crashing, the status bar always gives one of the two following
messages:
- Applet tclID notinited
- Applet tclID bailed
I know those are Java-related messages, but the fact that they only
appear on RC1 intrigued me.
