I've the same problem V [libjvm.so+0x25a3b1] but in karmic there was a different azureus-bash-startscript which included a compile exclusion for a problematic java class. I attached the patch i applied to my startup-script (sudo patch -p0 < azureus-startscript-patch.patch) and at least for now this looks better.
