Hi, as far as I can tell, icedtea6-plugin is not working at all for all the websites I tried so far (both in iceweasel and in chromium): http://javatester.org/version.html http://java.sun.com/applets/jdk/1.4/demo/applets/ArcTest/example1.html http://java.sun.com/applets/jdk/1.4/demo/applets/BarChart/example1.html … and plenty of others. For both browsers, the plugin throws: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: sun/applet/PluginMain Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: sun.applet.PluginMain at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:217) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:205) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:321) at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:294) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:266) Could not find the main class: sun.applet.PluginMain. Program will exit. … and the browser is made unresponsive (chromium warns after some time and marks all tabs as crashed). Hence I am rising the severity of this bug to grave, as this bug "makes the package in question unusable or mostly so". I'd be happy to be proven wrong, but from what I can understand and see, the package is unuseable as is.
