And rely on the simplicity of Ubuntu + Eclipse + JDK (openjdk-7) for my main environment. A few days ago, JDK 8 was released. How much would it take to see openjdk-8 as part of the official repository? I don't want to manually install it. I prefer it got updated through the Ubuntu's own update manager. I know there is a PPA with the Oracle JDK 8 but I prefer to stick with OpenJDK and not have to add new PPA's to my servers.
