To enable core dumping, try "ulimit -c unlimited" before starting Java again The system in question is running wheezy, I have recompiled the source code from 8u66-b01-1~bpo8+1 (jessie-backports) unmodified except for regenerating the debian/control file. I realise this will likely not give me any support (hence the severity), but maybe you can help… my coworkers say it works with the proprietary Horracle JDK.
