Thanks for reporting. I don't know if it was a coincidence or direct response, but I see that impish-proposed now has version 8u302-b08-0ubuntu2 [1]. Though it has been packaged, it hasn't yet migrated to the release archive, looks like it is currently blocked by some issues with newer glibc package [2].
Based on the package history, I reckon that once those issues are resolved and the new version is available in Ubuntu Impish (the current development release), it will also be added as updates for older Ubuntu releases.
