Hi, I have discussed this previously (months ago) with the javafx team, including John Smith and a JavaFX team member, in this mailing list, I think we all agreed this should be changed. Unfortunately nothing seems to have come from this. I think there is a communication problem in this mailing list. At least for me, about more than 1/2 of my messages get ignored or nothing comes out of them.
Right now the tooltip shows up right below the mouse which issues a mouse exited and disables mouse hover on the node in question which on a couple of cases isn't the desired effect.
