The work for planning is now done within OpenJDK. You might want to look at 
some of the JEPs defined for FX in upcoming releases (such as 
http://openjdk.java.net/jeps/209, http://openjdk.java.net/jeps/205, 
http://openjdk.java.net/jeps/204, etc).
