Hi Peter,
There was never an intent to have a RichTextEditor for 8u40. The wiki
is tracking milestones for committed work and the possibility of
starting work on a RichTextEditor prototype. At this point, given the
bug backlog and other work that is targeted to 8u40, it's looking very
unlikely that we will get to this.
