Hi Mark, I am not sure if this is good news or bad news but it sounds like you were made redundant which would of course be bad news. Oracle seem quite whacky lately with the things they are doing and the people they are letting go.
Anyway, sorry for your bad news but the exact same thing happened to me last year so I formed my own business and now have much more time to focus on the technologies I like and write my music. I haven't looked back and don't think I will ever have a boss again. So where to now? Anything lined up or on the horizon? I am sure you will find something very quickly and with your skill and experience, it will be a good position with appropriate remuneration. I'd like to stay in touch. We still have Facebook anyway!
