This PR removes the call to `[_menu cancelTrackingWithoutAnimation]` that doesn't work as expected starting macOS 27.
The PR doesn't provide an alternative to keep the same behaviour as was done after [JDK‑8372398](https://bugs.openjdk.org/browse/JDK-8372398) (where the mouse click on the system menu bar was effectively consumed if there was an auto-hide popup showing by hiding it and therefore the system menu didn't show up until a second mouse click), but avoids the critical issue described in the ticket (AppKit stuck in the menu tracking loop, app not receiving mouse events). After this change, the mouse click is not consumed, so the menu shows up, while the auto-hide popup gets closed at the same time. This is not following Apple's native applications (click event consumed to close the popup), but so far I haven't found an alternative to achieve this. I've also reworked the tests for this new scenario. --------- - [X] I confirm that I make this contribution in accordance with the [OpenJDK Interim AI Policy](https://openjdk.org/legal/ai). ------------- Commit messages: - Remove call to cancelTranckingWithoutAnimation, and rework tests Changes: https://git.openjdk.org/jfx/pull/2338/files Webrev: https://webrevs.openjdk.org/?repo=jfx&pr=2338&range=00 Issue: https://bugs.openjdk.org/browse/JDK-8393642 Stats: 60 lines in 2 files changed: 19 ins; 26 del; 15 mod Patch: https://git.openjdk.org/jfx/pull/2338.diff Fetch: git fetch https://git.openjdk.org/jfx.git pull/2338/head:pull/2338 PR: https://git.openjdk.org/jfx/pull/2338
