Hi,
can you try setting the non-stardard HTML property on the created iframe,
i.e. in OpenLayers.Tile.Image.IFrame add a line to the createIFrame
function:
OpenLayers.Event.observe(iframe, 'load',
OpenLayers.Function.bind(onload, this));
// add this
iframe.allowTransparency = true;
return iframe;
