http://geoserver.org/display/GEOSDOC/How+a+GetFeature+request+works but for that I need a database with all the citynames right?!?!?!? Is there no function or webservice or something like that, that I can send a request with my coords for example to OpenStreetMaps via JavaScript and get back the Cityname?
