Hi, Take a look at http://dev.openlayers.org/sandbox/sonxurxo/editfeature/examples/edit-feature.html, it's an example in my sandbox that does something like that. It creates a new class but with little modifications you can add that behavior to the DrawFeature control in the constructor. I hope it can be helpful
