Hi, I have gotten through the Intro to PostgreSQL and installed PostGIS on my system. I have also put my shapefiles into the database.
Now I am trying to get one of the layers (point data) to be added to a WFS in GeoServer. I have got as far as the "New Vector Data Source" screen and am stumped. for my PostGIS database the following applies: Port = 5432 (seems like a default value) The database is in the default location determined by PostgreSQL. I am unsure of the values being asked for by GeoServer. Do I need to have my database inside my C:\Program Files\apache-tomcat-6.0.29\webapps\GeoServer 2.0.2 ?? or can I set the "Data Source Name" value and then go from there?
