Still trying to get this to work. I built an asp.net website (visual studio 2005). I don't know if this matters but I used the file system not the http: option.
I then made a virtual directory (IIS) under the node "Default Web Site" and set the ASP.net property to 2.0.xxxx. when I refreshed the folder I see the "default.aspx" page inside the virtual directory. If I run the page without debugging from Visual Studio everything comes up ok. "http://localhost:2051/WebSite7/Default.aspx" in the address bar. I don't think this is really connected to IIS though because.. When I right click inside IIS on the "Default.aspx" inside my virtual folder and then hit "browse" I get the following error. Failed to access IIS metabase. Is this supposed to be this hard?
