I tried this morning to look up a relation in OSM
(http://www.openstreetmap.org/?relation=1273572) yet it never showed anything.
The API request never returned anything so the client timed out. Sure enough
nothing was shown.
For the user this is in-acceptable, a visible feedback as to be given. I'd like
to build a control FailureDisplay which just shows a short message on the map
window when something irregular happens (e.g. timeout). For that I need to link
to an error message event, telling what's happens. Do such events exists? How
can I access them?
Only events of requests to API/XAPI are needed. One sees when a tile doesn't
load but nothing when an API/XAPI request fails.
