This happened a few month back, too, and almost made me swear off
OpenLayers.
It came back and all was good. It's one reason, however, that I run OL
from my own server. Sadly, I do not have the latest version, or I'd be
happy to share it with you.
Last time, restoration took a day or so. Maybe a mirror would be a good
thing....
