My experience is, that IE is much more sensitive to using correct java
syntax.
And it is my experience, that the error messages are about anything else
than the real reason.
A typical example is a "left over" , at the end of af line like this after
the fillOpacity line:
var skrm_template = {
strokeColor: "#00ff00",
strokeOpacity: 1,
strokeWidth: 4.0,
fillColor: "#000000",
fillOpacity: 1,
}
It will cause no trouble in Firefox, Google Chrome or Opera, but IE8
refuses...
So try to check your code thoroughly!
I generally have a problem with using openlayers in IE8 when the files are
stored locally on my PC:
========================
Message: Access is denied.
Line: 1176
Char: 1
Code: 0
URI:
file:///C:/Users/map/Documents/Kortprodukter/Openlayers_sys/OpenLayers.js
========================
But this error disappears when the files are on a server.
It has to do with some security settings i IE8 I think, but I have not been
able to find the relevant setting to change.
